Help! How Can I learn to read the Tarot for myself?
Why is it that in every Tarot reading, we can never get a sense of what the person we’re reading for is feeling? We know that their desire to see a certain outcome isn’t because they don’t believe it’s possible — they just want something more. Perhaps they want to know the emotions and essence of how another person feels about them. We know from the moment we pick up a Tarot deck that there are hidden messages throughout its imagery. From the way the cards are arranged, to how each suit relates to one another. These signals are there for us if we choose to look for them. But most people don’t bother with them because it can feel like too much effort. This article will give you 6 reasons why you should be looking more deeply into your Tarot readings instead of ignoring them or dismissing them as being useless. You might not understand everything right away, but reading more will keep you curious and open-minded so you can expand your understanding over time.

You’re Hiding From Yourself
The first reason to read your Tarot Cards for yourself is that you’re hiding from yourself. It sounds like something you do when you don’t want to confront difficult truths about yourself. Instead of facing the hard questions, it’s easier and more comfortable for a lot of people to hide behind the tarot reading and focus nearly all their readings on others or not even pick up the cards at all. Sometimes you might also be avoiding the actual person who you’re reading for, which can cause problems in the long run. If it becomes too emotionally difficult to figure out their current situation, maybe they are doing something that they haven’t told you about. This can lead to some truly horrific consequences if they don’t feel supported enough and someone else is involved in their life.

Your Perception of the Cards is Blurring
One of the most common reasons why people have trouble understanding Tarot cards when reading for themselves or others is because they’ve never taken the time to slow down and look into them very closely. The truth is, Tarot cards are not just a pile of random symbols, but they convey a specific idea all while being aesthetically pleasing and engaging. They can be interpreted using symbolism and numerology, and adding some creativity to your readings can make you more effective at conveying your message. It takes a lot of practice to become good at reading Tarot cards so don’t give up if things don’t seem clear right away!

There are Hidden Symbols in the Cards
that are easily overlooked. For example, each suit has a different meaning and a different state of mind. The colors also have certain meanings associated with them, which is shown by the colours used for each suit. The same goes for many of the other divination cards. You just have to look closely enough to find them! On one hand, this can be frustrating because it feels like there’s so much more that needs to be decoded from every card, but on the other hand, it makes it easy to get lost in the imagery. It’s more than just looking at a photograph — you need to understand why these images are chosen and how they relate to one another. You might not be able to figure out everything right away, but if you keep reading over time, you will start seeing connections between things that you didn’t initially notice.

You Can Expand Your Understanding Over Time
The Tarot is a tool meant to be used in conjunction with other methods. The cards are not the end-all, be-all of divination. In fact, they should only ever be seen as a supplement to your other practices and tools. There’s nothing wrong with starting out small and then building up over time. When you read the cards for yourself, you can learn how to interpret the symbols on them and how to use those symbols for yourself. One thing that will make all of this easier for you is if you keep a notebook or journal to write down all of your readings so that you can look back at them later on and see what worked and what didn’t work. If you want something more from your readings, take the time to dig deeper into it by taking notes, reading more about symbolism, or trying new methods like tarot spreads or kabbalah. Once you do that, don’t be afraid to share your knowledge with others who might benefit from it as well.

You Can Learn From Every Reading
The first and most obvious reason you should read your Tarot cards is that you can learn from every reading. Every time you ask a question, the outcome is different. The only way to truly understand this is by reading your Tarot cards regularly. This will help you develop new insights into yourself, others, and the world around you. This article does not go into all of the reasons why reading your Tarot cards will help you grow as a person. However, there are plenty of other benefits that come with this practice which I will get into later on in this article.

Tarot is a Tool, Not Just a Magic 8 Ball
The first reason is that the Tarot is a tool for understanding ourselves and others. When we read a Tarot reading, we’re asking the cards to help us understand how we feel. The symbols in the deck are there to guide us through this process. Second, if you learn the meaning of each card and its position in the deck, you’ll be able to use them to your advantage. Third, you don’t have to know everything right away. You can always come back and experiment with your readings and see what happens. Fourth, when you learn about Tarot’s symbolism, it will make sense why they’re so often used in fiction — because they resonate with humanity at such an intuitive level. Fifth, you’ll be able to predict future events and situations better than those people around you who think they know everything already. Sixth, when you learn these things about the Tarot, it will help make sense of how their images relate to any other spiritual or traditional teachings that may have been passed down from earlier generations or cultures.
Conclusion
The Tarot cards can be a powerful tool to help you understand yourself and others, but they can’t reveal the true feelings of a person. In order to truly understand someone else, you have to take the time to connect with them and get to know them. This is the best way to achieve understanding and the Tarot cards are simply a tool that will help you achieve this. Many times in a reading I am asked if the Tarot cards can reveal what another person is feeling, and I have to explain why it is not possible for the cards to do that. If you have ever been present or mindful of your psychological experience, you would also confirm, that in every second, our feelings, thoughts, and sensations are changing. The Tarot was never designed to profile people and uncover people’s psychological states. If you have decided to become a professional Tarot reader it is important to follow your Tarot Code of Ethics

This is why I do not beat myself up if I am asked something that I am not able to read. It does not mean that there are no readers who have the ability to sense what another person feels through the imagery of the Tarot cards. I am clear in my mind that I am aligned with my inner truth and the person who is receiving the reading is free to accept that or work with another reader who can help them in that way. Learning to accept your limitations as a Tarot reader is really important. It is o.k to not be everyone’s favorite cup of tea.
